Time for a CHANGE!!

Today I took a big step toward getting BACK into shape for the fourth time in my life.

1.  After I got married and before I got pregnant with Cole...lost about 35-40 lbs  (weighed more on the day I got married than 40 weeks pregnant with ANY of my children!)
2.  After I had Cole
3.  After I had Natalie
4.  NOW!  (after Katy)

After Natalie I got back into shape by starting a workout DVD series called Turbo Jam by Chalene Johnson.  I LOVE TURBO JAM!  I can't wait to get my hands on Chalene Johnson's new set...Turbo Fire.  I hear its great!  After Turbo jam I progressed into running and completed a 5k race and a half marathon!  I continued running and decided to tone up with "Chalean Extreme", her weight lifting DVD set.  It's a 90 day rotation kind of like p90x.  I loved it!  I lost 4 inches and 5% body fat in 30 days...never completed the rotation because I got pregnant with Katy!

Today I started Chalean Extreme again!  I am also on week 6 day 2 of running the Couch to 5k.  My eating has been horrible and in those 6 weeks of running....I've pretty much not lost a pound!!

Today I ALSO started Shakeology.  I'm excited to see how it goes!!!  AND I also signed up to be a Beach Body Coach.  Beachbody is the home company of P90x, Turbo Jam, Brazil Butt Lift, Insanity...etc.  Honestly the main reason is to get the products at a discounted price...haha!  HOWEVER, I really believe in what the products have done for me and I'd like to share the experiences with others.

This blog is to share on my weight loss/fitness ups and downs, my frustrations and my accomplishments.  Sometimes I may blog about feeling like its not worth it...and I'm sure other days I will be so proud of myself that my blog seems cocky.  haha!  Maybe YOU will want to join me on my journey...or at least watch it unfold!

Here are my Stats and some very, very embarrassing photos from today.  :)  (in parenthesis are my goals)

Laugh, giggle, haha!

The funny poses are for the “Chalean Extreme” thing….haha! What you CAN’T see…and don’t worry…I’ll never show you…is my gross belly hangover from having two c-sections.  I’ve accepted it…but I’m really hoping to shrink it WAY back down!!

Today I broke down when I saw these pics.  When I look at myself in the mirror…I see a smoking hot mama!  haha!  When I looked at these pics…I saw a somewhat chubby UNFIT, UNHEALTHY lazy mom.  I went to the bathroom, took a bath and cried (during naptime…ha!)  I actually started thinking, “I have TOO far to go…too much to lose.  It’s IMPOSSIBLE.  WHY EVEN TRY?”  Then, as I blow-dried my hair I read my current book, “Made to Crave”.  Have you read it?  It’s FABULOUS!  I haven’t finished it yet, but it is sooo fabulous!  Thank you @dawnjenkins for recommending it to me!!!  I know that God wants more from me than to be crying over this petty weight stuff!  He wants me to live a life FREE of focusing on food and crying over being fat!!  SIGH…go buy that book now!  It’s life changing!!

Here is my plan:

1.  Exchange one meal a day with a Shakeology Shake.

2.  Run 3 days a week (for now…will up it to 4-5 when I start training for a 10k or half marathon)

3.  Do Chalean Extreme for 5 days a week for 90 days!!!

  2. (oops! My previous post had so many typos it wasn't legible)

Way to go Janet! I love lists and plans, and this sounds like a very doable goal! Know we're rooting for you and think you are a beautiful, smart, compassionate mommy, not an unhealthy, lazy mommy. The important thing is for YOU to feel confident and healthy. You have inspired me to set a goal for myself. I will walk/jog 3 times a week and 25 push ups/sit ups/lunges a day to start, working my way up in reps. Yay to getting healthy!
